I am currently an associate lecturer and researcher at the Technological Educational Institution of Crete (TEIC), at the Department of Informatics Engineering. In the past I have been an associate lecturer for the Department of Applied Science at TEIC, for the Department of Production and Engineering Management at the Technical University of Crete and for the University of Crete. I have also worked for the Research Academic Computer Technology Institute and Press "Diophantus" as an IT researcher/engineer and for the software industry as a J2EE programmer.

My interests include but are not limited to technical project management and project management in general, innovative IT systems and services, software development methodologies, multimedia technologies, algorithms, web engineering, object oriented design, architectures, frameworks and patterns, in-band management and remote management, web and portal development, open source technologies, green technologies and energy conservation. I am currently working on projects such as e-University+, personalized web-based promotional technologies all of which are supported by research and/or technology funding bodies.

I hold a Doctorate degree in Computer Engineering and Informatics, a Masters degree in Computer Science and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Computer Technology. Pieces of my work have been published in international peer-reviewed journals and have been presented at international conferences. You may find a list of publications here. In my free time I enjoy playing basketball.
