Michael Kalochristianakis

I am currently an associate lecturer and researcher at the Technological Educational Institution of Crete (TEIC), at the Department of Informatics Engineering. In the past I have been an associate lecturer for the Department of Applied Science at TEIC, for the Department of Production and Engineering Management at the Technical University of Crete and for the University of Crete. I have also worked for the Research Academic Computer Technology Institute and Press "Diophantus" as an IT researcher/engineer and for the software industry as a J2EE programmer. I hold a Doctorate degree in Computer Engineering and Informatics, a Masters degree in Computer Science and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Computer Technology. Pieces of my work have been published in international peer-reviewed journals and have been presented at international conferences. You may find a list of publications here. In my free time I enjoy small distance running and basketball.

Michael is a Laboratory Lecturer for the Medical School, University of Crete. In the past he has worked as an associate Lecturer for the Department of Informatics Engineering at the Technological Educational Institution of Crete. He has worked for the Research Academic Computer Technology Institute and Press "Diophantus" as an IT Researcher / Engineer and for the software industry as a JAVA Enterprise Edition Programmer. He holds a Doctorate degree in Computer Engineering and Informatics, a Masters degree in Computer Science and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Computer Technology. During the last years, Michael has been deploying innovative clinical information systems that build new datasets for the Medical field. Pieces of his work have been published in international journals and conferences.
